How SANTEX came to be
25 years ago, I was sitting on a television set as the lead sportscaster bored out of my mind. There had to be more to life than seasons that ran together filled with ball game scores and highlights. With a son on the way, I also realized there are the ”Rich & Famous” and I was just “Famous”. Upon returning home to Houston, I started working with a small shelving company. With a cordless phone and enough knowledge to be dangerous I began calling everyone I thought might need a storage solution.
I quickly immersed myself into learning everything about our products and how not to run a business with the outfit I had joined. I started SANTEX on a few simple principles. No matter how big the client, no project is too SMALL. Provide accurate information, provide every option possible, provide realistic costs and, wait for it…100% honestly.
The cordless phone has led to working with some of the biggest companies in the United States and a bunch of companies most people have never heard of. The son arrived and now works helping Dad, in his words, “ keep everybody’s stuff off the ground”. Our installation crew isn’t just part of the company but part of our extended family. I love what I do, and I have never been bored building a business I humbly believe contributes to the betterment of every client we work with.
